It also known for its "Stupas".It is one of the significant places of Buddhist pilgrimage. Toranas surround the Stupa and they each signify love, peace, trust, and courage.The 'Great Stupa' at Sanchi is the oldest stone structure in India and was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century BCE. ISLAMNAGAR -
It was 11 km away from the Bhopal- Berasia road; and built by Dost Mohammed Khan. Islam Nagar palace surrounded by beautiful gardens and looks beautiful. The latter a synthesis of Hindu and Islamic ornamental art, has columns plentifully blown up with flowery motifs. Other monuments to visit are the Hamam of the Chaman Mahal and the Rani Mahal that was the living palace of the queens who accompanied the royal men during their vacations.
